Loch Fyne COVID-19 Safety Measures


We’ve been working hard behind the scenes at Loch Fyne Restaurants to make sure that when we reopen our restaurants, we make them as safe as possible, whilst following the latest government guidelines.

We have developed 5 key steps to keep you, our guests, as well as our dedicated teams, safe. We have some small but important requests for our guests which will help us look after everyone in our restaurants. We’re all in this together, after all.

We will be displaying these steps around our restaurants and online so that you can be assured we are doing everything we can to protect both you and our teams.

These steps and requests mean you can enjoy some well-earned time in our restaurants, whilst still being safe.

We will be introducing a member of staff in every restaurant who will ensure increased cleaning all day, every day.

They will be wearing an apron so you can easily find them and they will be responsible for additional cleaning and sanitising.

Please let a member of staff know if you have any concerns or questions during your visit. 


We will be making hand sanitiser available on entry and throughout every restaurant.

We will be regularly checking and sanitising toilet facilities and will be making sure there is hand sanitiser available at till points.

Please maintain your own personal hand hygiene to protect everyone.


We will be minimising contact in every restaurant by installing protective screens at the tills and implementing single use menus.

We will be delivering food and drink to your table in the safest way possible and using disposable menus, so they can be recycled after your visit or taken home to use for your next takeaway order.

Please use the technology we have available to minimise contact with our teams wherever possible.


We will be ensuring safe socialising in all restaurants by marking out socially distant points on the floor in line with the latest Government guidelines.

We will be giving you the opportunity to book a table before you visit, so you know you have a safe space to enjoy it and laying out tables to ensure safe spacing. We will also be managing and monitoring queues to make them as smooth and easy as possible, while signposting our toilets, meticulously cleaning them and following social distancing measures.

Please follow these social distancing measures so everyone can enjoy their time with us.


We will be looking after our teams by training them on safe work practices, handwashing and will be conducting temperature checks on arrival for all team members.

We will be carrying out full risk assessments on all restaurants, including deliveries, to protect both our teams and our suppliers.

Please respect our teams and any requests they have, to keep everyone safe.


NHS Test and Protect Guidance


Across our restaurants we have QR codes freely available for you to “check-in” at our location for test and trace purposes. You may also book with us in advance and we’ll capture the required data for you.

At our Edinburgh branch we adhere to the NHS Scotland Test and Protect statutory guidance. This means before being seated we require the following information from a “lead” member of each household:

  • Name
  • Contact telephone number

If you’re unable to provide a telephone number you must provide:

  • either an email address or a postal code.

Under this same guidance if you cannot or wish not to provide this information, we must refuse service. We encourage guests to book in advance This excludes guests ordering take-away.

My gift card will be expiring soon, will it be extended?

If your gift card is coming close to the expiry date, please get in touch with our guest relations team who will be able to assist you with your enquiry.

Are your restaurants still offering a takeaway service or Deliveroo?

We will continue to offer Takeaway and Deliveroo at all our restaurants within the Deliveroo catchment areas.

Can I pay with cash?

Contactless and card payments are preferred; we will only be operating one cash till in each restaurant.

Do I need a booking or can I just walk in?

We encourage you to make a booking before visiting the restaurant but if you do walk in, we will need to take your details in line with government requirements. If you walk in and there are no tables available, the host will let you know what time they will have a table for you.

Can I make group bookings?

Bookings must be made for no more than 6 people according to government guidelines.
